If so, you might not have built up enough oil pressure to activate the hydraulic valves. By all means, clean The lifters are hydraulic ,but the valves are opened directly from the camshafts and closed by the springs. Lack of oil pressure will not affect the opening and closing of the valves, it wil...

No need to disconnect it, just take a jumper wire and put it from 12v to the small wire.

Turn the key to the on position, not running. The little wire at the back of the alternator should have power. If it does not have power the alternator will not be energized and will not charge. If this is the case, as a temporary fix, you start the car and jump power to the little wire and the alte...

I had this same issue for my 95 850 turbo. I ordered a transmission from the wrecking yard, they said they would send me a transmission from a 94 turbo(which would be the same transmission. When I got the transmission I realized the sensors were in different spots, ran the part number found out they...

I guess I misread your first post. The wear pattern sounds like too much camber or toe, everything is within spec though and the suspension has been checked. You could have them put it back on the alignment rack and see what numbers they come up with. If the numbers are different then you know somet...

I rotate the tires every 3-4k. Due to the rotations all 4 tires now have noticeably higher wear on the outside edges. I keep the tire pressure at 36 psi. The caster is currently at 3.22 on the left front, and 3.89 on the right front; according to the Firestone people the specified range is 2.33 to ...

Only too low of a tire pressure, incorrect caster, or aggressive cornering can cause excessive wear on both outer edges of the front tires. Maybe the wear is not that excessive though. How often are you rotating the tires?

Does it overheat idling, around town, on the freeway, or all of these? When it gets warmed up feel the temperature difference between the upper and lower radiator hoses, if they are not both hot the thermostat is bad. Water pump is unlikely if it's not leaking.

Is the check engine light coming on? Chech for misfire codes if you have a reader. Since you could not pin it to a cylinder by pulling each coil it seems to be something affecting all cylinders. Have you checked the condition of the spark plugs? Also you should check for vacuunm leaks.

Dremel or die grinder to take the head off will work fine. Take one of the bolts with you to the hardware store to match it up for a replacement.
