Re: Seafoam
It's not advisable, through the vacuum tree and through the injectors it gets atomized. Too much could cause compression issues, I would just stick with the normal way of doing it.

Re: P80 Wagon interior stuff?
Stuff like that is hard to find for these vehicles, I found this website. http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/productSearch.aspx?&ukey_model=12011&ukey_Category=7945 The vehicle I selected is a 98 V70 so if yours is different you'll have to update the vehicle to make sure it fits. These are ju...

Re: T rated tires on a 98 V70 NA
Lately I self-fitted about 10 wheels and even though it takes some time I saved hundreds. We get charged about $15 for each tire for fitting and balancing here. I've done this as well to get out of a pinch, can be very sketchy sometimes  You just have to make sure the weight is relatively clos...

Re: 98 V70 power steering - fluid recommendations
I'm not in a hurry to change it to something else, but I've read that others have tried Mobil 1 synthetic ATF with good success. I've also wondered about using synthetic ATF blend for older cars since it might help the aging seals. I have some of that left over from a transmission flush just about ...

Re: 98 V70 power steering - fluid recommendations
I've never had experience with this, but the seals may be designed for ATF. "Hydraulic oil" is a very loose term in sense not all if it is designed the same way. It could seep past the seals, or be too thick for it to run through efficiently. The only reason I can see ATF "commonly&qu...

Re: 97 850 speedometer cluster warning light bulbs
Call your local auto parts store, they might have them in bulk and for cheap. The store I used to work at (advance auto parts) we had bulk headlights more for the local shops that had accounts set up with is but I remember specifically because I bought probably 10 bulbs for less than $15 (a friend h...

Re: T rated tires on a 98 V70 NA
I did consult my friend who is an expert and was also the guy who trained me regarding tires and he indicated that based on my driving and the age of my car and how the car is being used that a T-rated tire is well within its design envelope. I'm not concerned about the safety aspects. It may cause...

Re: T rated tires on a 98 V70 NA
I was the wheel tire and brake engineer at a major airline for a few years at my last job. I know more about tires than the average guy, although I wouldn't call myself an expert. Tires are complex. I would argue that it would take at least 10 years to become an expert. A V rated tire on a 20 year ...

Re: T rated tires on a 98 V70 NA
This is not fiction, you are correct it does not say in the owners manual the rating for the tire, BUT there is a sticker on the door itself (or it may be on the pillar where the door latches) that has the tire info - correct size, speed rating, proper tire inflation for cold and warm tires, etc. A...
