All you need is an O2 socket. It has a cut out which allows it to slip over the wires then it's just a case of unscrewing like any other bolt/nut. At the other end is a plug and socket. Unplug old and plug in new.

Re: Oxygen sensors for S70
Yeah forgot to say as JD says engine code will confirm what you need as yours could be a late throttle cable car, pre ets. Just re read your post. My connectors were same as yours.

Re: Wiper blade with the spoiler - passenger or drivers side
My 2000 first gen V70 had one on drivers side but wipers are flat aero type front and back now.

Re: Time for brakes!
Hi,thanks for replies. I'm in UK. Yeah I had thought about knocking a socket over the head, had to do that to get locking wheelnuts off that someone kindly airgunned on way too tight! My original idea was to just cut the bolt head off and then as the rotor pulls away from the hub the caliper hanger ...

Re: Time for brakes!
Hi, ok so got all ready to do rotors and pads on front only to discover that the previous owner/mechanic has rounded both of the top 15mm caliper bolts at the last rotor change. I can get the bottom ones out easily. From looking at it do the bolts just slip through the spindle and screw into the cal...

Re: How to disconnect an O2 Sensor 99/00 V70 Base model? w/P
Hi, just done mine last month. Push the blade of a flat screw driver into the top of the connector, the raised up bit ( where your finger is in photograph two). It sort of depresses inside and the two parts pull apart.

Re: Cat Converter/02 Sensors
Hi, don't know if the XC is same as normal V70 but my 2000 model uses Denso O2 sensors and for some annoying reason they have cost way more than Bosch etc.

Re: SC805 being really picky on CDs
Mine is fine with proper shop bought cds but mine struggles with ones I've burned myself, mainly first thing in a morning when it's colder. If the car has been sat in the sun all day I have no problems. I get them to play by selecting track 2 while you can hear the player searching but even that doe...

Re: is 139000 the magic mileage?
Make sure you get correct O2 sensor for your car. They don't like universal and my 99/2000 V70 required a DENSO sensor. Serial numbers and relevant info are on o2 sensor itself which makes it a bit awkward to read. Easy enough to replace if you buy an o2 socket which slips over the wires.
