Re: 2004 V70 P2402 Woes (Leak Detection Pump Current)

So did some peeking around. Volvo couldn't put that pump anywhere else? Found the following: The harnesses under the seat was loose. ziptied it together to keep that from happening. J-pipe was loose on the non hoseclamp end to the canister. Cleaned and greased it reinstalled and made sure it was att...

Re: 2004 V70 P2402 Woes (Leak Detection Pump Current)

Thats what I'm thinking. Or that its a piece of rubber that expands when its hot.

How can I tell if my software is up to date without going to the dealer?

I see IPD has the pump pretty reasonably.

Re: 2004 V70 P2402 Woes (Leak Detection Pump Current)

Thanks for the Pic. Now I just need the vent/vacuum diagram to figure it out.

Its really weird. If the temperature is above 40F it won't throw any codes. But at 39F it starts. Maybe I have a leak?

2004 V70 P2402 Woes (Leak Detection Pump Current)

Thankfully I got my car through PA safety and emission inspection before this code popped up again. I've already replaced the gas cap twice. One is a stancor and one is a Dorman. The weird part is that the Gas cap will have liquid fuel on it when its at a half tank. I do want to check my LDP before ...

Re: Fog Lights

I just want the install as smooth as possible.

Here in the Commonwealth of PA, I can get a ticket for Fogs and High beams on at the same time.

Fog Lights

On my V70, I've got rear fog lights but not front.

I know that I have to use VIDA to allow the use of the front lights if I were to get them.

Now, can I use the wire from the rear lights to power a front set or can I hook them up to the low beam on the headlights?

Re: Camshaft seals

I got it all back together. Even got the timing marks back to where they were before I started. No CELs. I just have some short notes for the guide on how to do this job. The VCT without the spring return have quite a bit of slack in them. If they are set to the forward mark they will be at the aft ...

Re: Camshaft seals

I'm having difficulty with setting the timing marks. I don't have the pulley tool and nobody around has it. What happens is I'll set the mark in the middle of the timing mark. when I put the belt on it will be to the left of the mark on both. If I advance it by one tooth, it will be the same differe...

Re: Camshaft seals

I did a glove test and it passed. It is possible that the valve cover got loose?
