I was offered some tires by my FIL, but they aren’t exactly the same size I have on here right now. Wondering if this might still work? Not planning to keep the car long...too many things failing/coming apart.

Recommended tire size: 215/65R16
Being offered: 245/75R16 ...

Ok, figured it out. If you put a screw driver on both ends and twist them, it will come up. Trying to do one side at a time doesn't work so well.

Well that was fun! Yup, dealer quoted me $165 for the entire shifting cable, and no guarantee I can get the end off to just replace that.

So, I know they had one at the junk yard that was in decent shape. I cannot seem to figure out how to get the adjustment device out so I can remove the end tip ...

OK...so now I feel really silly....I didn't connect the wiring harness back up to the starter (d'oh!)...so it had power, but no signal to start. That's what I get for working on it in a gas station parking lot!

Also, any idea how to get that yellow adjustment clip out of there?

Don’t hate me, but when I researched this on my T5 stick shift I found Volvo does not sell the bush8ng, but wants 135 bananas for a whole new shift cable. I did find aftermarket bushings that worked well

I quick peeked on the eEuro site and found P80 bushings , but not P2 bushing, #sad trombone ...

I was pulling the shift cable off the PNP switch today, and found out the bushing on the shift cable end was trashed.

Any idea where I can either get a new shift cable end with the bushing, or a new bushing?

Also, suggestions for how to get out the shift cable adjustment bracket?

You are looking in wrong direction, if you hear starter clicking but not cranking, the issue is either starter, ground, battery, battery cable to starter or seized engine.

Put a volt meter across the starter chassis and battery cable on starter. Have second person crank engine while you look at ...
