Thanks, I will try this weekend👍

Re: 2006 XC70 246k Engine noise

I did replace both VVT hubs with new ones from Volvo, together with the timing belt at 194k miles.
I will try to listen with a stethoscope, near the hubs.

Now I wished that I purchased them from FCP🤦‍♂️

That's not enough time/miles to have them killed.

Can you remove the top plastic cover ...

Re: 2006 XC70 246k Engine noise

Whoosh-whoosh-whoosh is likely a VVT hub. Exhaust side usually dies first.

Thanks much for your reply.

Re: 2006 XC70 246k Engine noise

Was this audio clip recorded with serpentine belt reinstalled? (This way you would eliminate lots of moving parts). If yes, I would ask how long ago you changed your timming belt/ water pump components and if they were of a decent quality. If the noise was recorded with serpentine belt- have you ...

2006 XC70 246k Engine noise

We have a sound coming from the engine. Most notable when the engine is at operating temp. Looks like it’s coming from the back of the engine, but not 100% positive.
I have removed the auxiliary belt and timing belt cover and inspected for wear marks, not the case.

Car drives fine, burns 0.5 quarts ...

Permanent removal of rear seat, 2006 Volvo XC70

Looking into permanent removal of the rear seats, both upper and lower parts. I drive mostly alone and partly in the mountains and have a long commute, always carrying load and have a full size spare in the back.
In short trying to loose some weight from the car. Found a how to video for the ...

I forgot to take pictures, but just press out the complete bushing.
And press in the new bushing. Make sure to putt them in the freezer and ...

Re: City Safety and ABS issues related? 2011 XC60

The error had nothing to do with the wheel speed sensor, but I had remove the Haldex fuse for a short while, that triggered the city safety warning.

Re: City Safety and ABS issues related? 2011 XC60

I have no solution for your problem but are in the same situation.
I thought my right rear wheel bearing was bad, and ordered a new one including a dust shield. Turned out to be the rear differential is going bad. I put back the original wheel bearing and the new dust shield. Shortly thereafter the ...
