It ran nice and smooth so I drove her home. I just ordered a timing belt kit and PCV kit from FCPEURO. I will not risk driving it again until I do the timing belt. Luckily the tensioner has held up for 126,366 miles.

Tomorrow I'm checking out a 2004 V70. Only has 127k miles and they're asking $2800. Timing belt and PCV cleanup hasn't been done yet. I can do that for ~$500 in parts. They're stating it's had no damage and everything is functioning fine. If it rides nice with no codes I'll probably grab it. Won't ...

I cut a rubber portion of the return line and added a 3/8" (10 mm) Magnefine filter in there.

It also helps installing a heat shield over steering rack to protect it from the exhaust heat. Volvo had it for earlier model years. I bought one for my 2005, but it does not fit.

My fan speed knob just started flickering last week. I'll take it apart and do some soldering this weekend. Been soldering since HS. Before college I was an ECO technician resoldering PCBs that failed inspection. PCBs used to be much larger so soldering was easier back then.

Doing the timing belt a handful of times on P2s it only took me 4 hours for a complete TB and water pump replacement last October. I did it on a 2006 S60 owned by a friend's dad. The water pump kit on FCPEURO including the Moly radiator flush only cost $440.
