v70 2.5 tdi 1998 alarm and immobilizer

how do you disable that bloody ear numbing siren!
i switched the car on and the siren started blaring,
the immobiliser kicked in and i couldn't start the car,
kids were crying and i was contemplating smashing a window!
couldn't open the doors, luckily managed to wind the window down
and unlock the door from the outside, disconnected the battery,
the alarm was still going off! left it until the morning,
connected the battery and alarm went off again!
closed and opened the doors with the key fob
and it reset,

1) can i disable that stupid alarm!
2) if i take fuse out for the immobilizer will that disable the immobilizer
or will the car not operate without that circuit engaged.
