Re: New Radiator Recommendations

Post by Ozark Lee »

Auto Parts Warehouse and their hundreds of evil siblings (the same place with a different web site) are nothing but a phone bank in India and they are a bunch of thieves. They sat on my money for over 1 year before issuing me back a credit to my credit card after they refused to live up to their sale price on Bilstien shocks and struts and then they had the gall to try to charge me a "restocking " fee on something they had never even shipped.

Proceed with extreme caution when dealing with them. I refuse to deal with them at all.

Thanks for the help everyone. I removed the tranny lines without breaking the green clips, but I am going to put new ones (and the o rings) in anyway. I am also replacing the radiator hoses, intercooler hoses, hose clamps and a lot of the bolts. Any other recommendations on things to replace? Pcv? Thermostat?

Also, any specific antifreeze to use or to stay away from?

Thanks again. This site is a great help.

i hate to bring this up since this discussion is about radiator replacement, but the reason why the OP has no oil cooler lines going to the radiator is because 99+ turbos have a separate oil cooler mounted elsewhere.

He asked about the radiator NOT about the engine. But yes, you are right they have separate oil cooler.

yes, i understand perfectly that he is talking about the radiator. your explanation that V70XCs do not have oil cooler lines because they are LPTs, well that's just not true. a 1998 v70xc(LPT, obviously) would have oil cooler lines going to the radiator.
