Brake Lights not working V70 T5

Post by Myk2l »

My rear brake lights both fail to come on when the pedal is depressed. The high level LED brake strip works, the bulbs are new and the fuses seem fine. Anyone got any ideas what I could try to sort this problem?

I have the same problem, mine stems from a bad connection between bulb socket and holder. I have tried to fix using various methods but all fail over time. I ended up replacing the entire light kit...35$ from salvage yard

Thanks for reply, I'll try and clean up the connections and meanwhile price up the light kit at the salvage yard.

I had the same problem on mine and it turned out to be the control relay. It was about $25.00 if I recall correctly.
