ECC Flashing lights -Where is the temp sensor?

Post by dj5150 »

2001 C70 last week the blower quits on me and I get the flashing lights. It would blow for just a second then quit. I replaced the resistor pack now it doesnt even blow for that one second. where is the temp sensor located on the car so I can at least check it out before I replace the blower??
Advice?? Its getting COLD here in the northeast and I look ridiculous wearing a snuggie while I am driving.

the cabin air temp is in the ECC module itself, just behind the open slits at the bottom right.

Need to remove the ECC to get to it.

Cabin temp sensor is in the row of dash switches behind what looks like a drill (right side of steering column)
You need to pull out the radio, maybe the climate control unit, reach behind and push it out
If it's that bad you probably need a new one.

Did you try blowing compressed air into it first.
It's a little fan that gets clogged with dust and dirt

If you go to Volvo their scanner will tell you which stored code you have, the sensor, the blower or resistor pack
