Oil Leak

Hi guys, new to the group...
Odd problem on my '02 S60 non turbo. At the back of the engine, above the oil pan in the block, there is a missing plug/tube ect that leads into the crank case. When i punch the engine, it appears oil is spilling out all over exhaust and creating a raunchy smell. It took me a while to find this problem because you can only notice the smell when you drive the engine hard. Does anyone know what i am missing? is it a plug/hose, or a part of pollution control? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
