Volvo s80 t6 oil change

Hey guys i just baught a 2001 volvo s80 t6 and i changed the filter and oil using w10 30 chevrone oil, Then i heard from a few buddies that i cant use just any oil, What oil do you guys recommend or have been using, it would help alot thanks !

To an extent you can use "any oil" if its the right viscosity, it really depends on how picky you want to be. Id prioritize like this

1) Correct viscosity for climate\season: 0w30, 5w30 or 10w30.
2) Preferably syth
3) An oil that is ACEA A3/B3/B4 certified
