I just bought a fuel pump relay for a 94 850 and the dealer here in Madison charged me $90 for it. If I hadn't needed it right away, I would have ordered it off the internet. I have seen them advertised for $55 there. :x

Yes, I have too....it's under the throttle cover...hard to see unless you take the cover off. Worth checking out. But if it's blow, you should hear it sucking air when the car is idling. Worth letting it idle, pull the hood up and listen for that sucking sound. Could be from somewhere else too.

thanks guys,
I will check for vacume leaks,
Mine is a non turbo though.
Yea, after I purchased the part. I knew Crown Mercedes/ volvo of Tulsa Oklahoma raped me good on the part. I will not recomend anyone to deal with them ever again.
Where on the Net can I find good deals on Volvo parts?
would like to purchase new, since I am driving the car
Thanks,

www.fcpgroton.com (every day parts, filters, hoses, brakes etc.)
eeuroparts.com (free shipping for everything over $35?)
www.bortonvolvo.com (some nice upgrades...dimming mirror/ antena down switch, etc. for cheap)
http://volvo.autowebaccessories.com/ (good prices on rack systems)
http://www.volvopartsworld.com/ (down right now, but good place too)
http://volvo.keystonemotors.com/ (you'll have to call their number 800-351-5077, but very competitive and good reputation over on swedespeed...)
www.ipdusa.com (mostly for upgrades...very friendly and stand behind everything 100% of the time, but quite expensive)

I mostly use fcpgroton.com and my local dealer who offers me 20% off of everything....I think they've gotten tired of me buying my parts elsewhere...LOL.

Hey MadeInJapan,

Your list was so good, and I see it so often, I made a page:
https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/volvo_parts.php

I put your comments on most of them verbatim. Hope that's ok with you.

Sorry for the thread hijack.

Thanks,
Matt

oops not a turbo.....
3 questions......

1. Has the engine just been redone?

2. What does your rpm gage sit at on idle?

3. What does your rpm gage do at engine temp before it stalls?
yes......It is an 850!

fcp has the best price on the net.
I will check the local dealer one more time, and if their price is as expensive as my sensor, I will just continue to purchase over the net on all my volvo parts. thanks for your help. I hope this next part will fix my issue
