1 take out the bulb and throw it away (or use it for another, burnt out one)
2 black tape over the front plastic
3 pay someone, either a shop or someone who sells the Draper reset tool.
I always go with solution 1.

Odometer: this is a very common problem, you need to buy a new gear and swap it in. While you have the cluster out, remove the Service bulb. See
Odometer fix how to
although personally I do not like "bending" the top cover so I always take it all the way off.

Bulbs: do a search. Radio bulb is slightly tricky, but the rocker switches are trivially cheap and easy. E.g.

Keyless remotes probably just need to be programmed, see
Http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/69 ... e-program/

I checked out the website for the odometer gear and how do you know which gear to order???

I took my remotes to an auto parts retailer that has an RF tester and none of the button on either remote send a signal. I double checked the batteries for orientation and voltage and it was okay. I also split the remotes open and checked them internally and didn't see anything wrong. The remotes show signs of wear cause all of the lettering is worn of the buttons.

It looks like I'll pull the Service light bulb out while the dash is out...

I checked front strut thumping by opening the hood, grabbing the side of a fender, and pulling side to side. My spring seats were so bad that I could see the wobble and clunking at each strut tower.

Also, I like transmission drain and fills until the fluid looks reddish and then perform a modified drain and flush. Its easy and can be done in under half an hour. Its amazing the color difference of the bottom stuff near the drain plug.

For the ABS, I would first check each wheel ABS sensor for rust, dirt, continuity, etc. before spending money for a replacement/rebuilt ABS module.

And its an "R" !

Odometer gear: The smaller one is almost always the first one to go, but they both will, eventually. I usually replace them both when I am in there, I like to minimize the number of times the dash comes apart.

Remotes: When you have it apart, does the black button give a slight click when you press it, or does it barely move? I had one that didn't produce a signal because the little switch under the black button was all gummed up inside. While apart I rinsed it with 100% alcohol and worked the button until it clicked, then let the whole ting TOTALLY dry before putting the battery back in, now it works great.

I'll look at the odometer gear procedure pictures and see if I can see both gears...

My Remotes don't have a micro switch they look more like button on a cell phone or tv remote. I cleaned with an eraser then with alcohol but nothing worked...

Thanks...

Still waiting to order odometer gears and work the lights. It's been kinda hard to get the car back from my wife since her Trailblazer burned an exhaust valve... I drove the car yesterday on a highway trip and tried to get the cruise to engage and had these random results:

1. Wouldn't engage
2. Engaged but shut itself of after 1/2 second
3. Engaged and worked fine
4. Engaged and mph varied 10+
5. Turned cruise switch to off position and it stayed on for almost a mile before it shut off

I know the car sat for many years of some of these may be attributed to that but a few of them don't...

1-4 all sound like variations on the common problem of leaking vacuum lines, but number 5 is odd and makes me wonder if the switch is broken on the turn signal arm. I'd start with a basic troubleshooting run on the cruise pump/relays/switch etc. See this post from the repair database here:
