Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.
Getting ready to change rad hoses, t-stat, cooling sensor. I'm looking at the front under side of the car, preparing to drain the coolant when I notice a serious "tilt" in the rad. I start looking and the one side is probably 3 inches lower than the other. To my dismay, I see that one of the side bolts has fallen out at some point.
What size and length is this bolt? God, I hope the local hardware store has one! Help.....
PS: this is one of the 2 large main side bolts - 1 on each side of the whole assembly...
They were 13mm bolts which were threaded into non-captive nuts in the frame. Both of mine broke when I replaced my radiator so I replaced with standard bolt/nut washers and lock washers
