Convertible top won't complete cycle

Hi. I just picked up a 1999 C70 with a canvas convertible. The convertible top seems to not be completing its cycle. It goes down fine. When closing the top, it appears to work fine, until the very last step...wherein the rear window latches itself down to the rear trunk lid. It doesn't go all the way down....any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else? Hhhheeelllppppp!!!!!

Did you ever figure this out? I experience the same thing, though sporadically. If I put it back up and try again, or shut off the key, turn back on and attempt to complete the open cycle it usually works.
