1999 v-70XC heater hose clips and o rings

tryed both today .... i have a sloping driveway, nose up and nose down .... i shut it off an hour ago and let it cool off with the expansion tank slightly open so it could vent the air out. want back outside an hour later .... no coolant on the driveway and expansion tank empty, i added another liter of coolant and drove it with the cap on. temp guage went to high within about 2 mins of driving then sat at halfway ... still no heat

Are the lines to and from the heater core hot to the touch after the car warms up? It could be a stuck damper door on the climate unit if they are.

they are cold .... I have now added a total of 8 liters of coolant and still no heat.... parked it nose up on the driveway and ran it for an hour .... parked it nose down and noticed it takes in coolant, i have added 2 liters of coolant today alone ... yes i lost some on the floor of the garage running it with the cap off to let some air out .... I am stumped ... i hope its not the water-pump

took the car to the store ... 2 km away, when i shut down the engine i could hear popping sounds coming from the coolant expansion tank

i just went out to check on the car ..... found a fair bit of coolant under it on the passenger side .... im now thinking the waterpump might be hooped .... i had a look inside the timing belt cover and dont see any coolant on the timing belt, wouldnt the belt be wet if the waterpump was leaking?

There are a couple of places other than the pump where it could leak on the right hand side of the car. The O ring on the coolant pipe that runs from the back of the water pump on the block, under the exhaust manifold, could be leaking but it would be rare. That pipe also ties to the heater core by the way. The other point would be the short coolant hose that goes on the coolant line over to the turbo. The pump itself, of course, is right there but you can normally see it leaking either from the gasket or the weep hole while the car is running and the timing belt cover is off. It may or may not get the timing belt wet, it depends on how badly it leaks and where the leak actually is.

problem was waterpump .... removed it and it came out in two pieces .... new waterpump, timing belt, tensioner and an idler ...... wooop wooop i have lots of heat now
