1999 S80 Engine revs up high but not accelerating

Driving the car down the road, step on the gas the car hesitates, then goes or sometimes I barely step on the gas and the engine revs way up high, but doesn't accelerate? Like there isn't any power. Or if you had your car in neutral and stepped the gas. I just replaced the heater core and the radiator and didn't know if there was a vacuum hose or something I messed with??

Sounds like the transmission is slipping.

Yes because there wasn't any transmission fluid in there! When you remove the radiator, the fluid drains out. I had no clue. Just hoping not major damage done to the tranny.
