Hi Everyone,
This is my first time on this site...and the reason I started searching the web is because I'm have a problem with my 99 S8 T6. I've had it for almost 3 years...it has about 77K miles on it. I haven't had any problems with it until now.
I'm from the Boston area...and if any of you haven't heard....we're having a freezing winter. Anyway, one morning, I'm warming up my car and the Engine System Service Urgant light went on. I drove to work and decided to check my oil when I got there. Sure enough I'm super low. I haven't had an oil change is a long time because a Jiffy Lub wont touch a Volvo Turbo and it's a 2 day project to get it done at a dealership. I filled up the oil then made my appt. with the dealership.
4 days go by...everything is running great...I'm not seeing any freakish lights turning on in my car, until one night, as I'm driving, the Engine System Service Urgant comes back on. I decided to slow down, and that's when I realized my breaks were gone. I shut my car off for about 5 min. and when I turned it back on, everything was fine.
Has anyone had any problems with that??
Now that I babbled for 10 min. let me get to the point of why I am emailing in. A friend of my husbands, sister owns the same year and make of my car and she brought it in because she was hearing a weird noice on the front end...which I hear also. They told her it was a re-call that was basically a word of mouth type thing....they said that this was a re-call that they didn't send mailers out for.
I asked the dearlership...not the one she went to, if there was a re-call and they said no. Has anyone heard of this for the 99 S80 T6.
