98 v70t head swap

Post by luckycharms »

I have an 1998 v70 AWD turbo 2.4
It has a cracked head. What models can i get another head off of from the boneyard?
Will a head from an 2001 s60 work?

Any turbo from '94 to '98 will work. From '99 and on the cars have variable valve timing and I think the diameter of the front seal socket and the oil passages are different.

Lee, wouldn't it be a 97-98 GLT or XC head?

Will the B5234T head fit the B5254T?

The head itself is all the same, even with the N/A cars, but the exhaust valves on the turbos are the sodium filled valves and are different. The LPT and the HPT have the same valves though.

According to Jimmy 57, The turbo heads 94 to 98 are a direct swap. As long as they have non variable cam timing. Cheers Steve.
