The car runs fine except for sluggish acceleration. Check engine light is on but I couldn't pull any codes from it. Any suggestions as to where to start. One friend told me possible O2 sensors. 99K miles original owner.Thanks.Russ

go to AutoZone or your favorite FLAPS and have the codes read. Without them it can be so many things. That said - what is different from before the no check engine light until now?

Did the acceleration become sluggish gradually, or just one day no get up and go? An O2 sensor usually fades out, if your boost controller fails, or a hose ruptures, it will be more right now. Check all hoses and connections that you can, and maybe pop the hood and listen while someone revs it, maybe it will be obvious. Codes is the next (or other first) step.
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)
