2000 S80 T6 Headlight gremlins

The last week or two I've been getting intermittent "Bulb Failure - Dipped Beam". When it first happened, I just figured it was time to swap out the H7's up front, but I noticed both were out. When I went back to my seat, the message was gone and the lights were working. It keeps getting wacky and sometimes I can switch the lights on and off to reset the message. Any ideas before I take it in?

Just after posting I realized I should have probably done more searching.

I see this post talking about shunts and sanding and the CEM. Anyone have any writeups or pictures so I know what to look at?

EDIT: Dang, found it I guess I'll check this out before taking it in to see if it works.
