1995 Volvo 850 GLT, Engine light on??

Supp people, for mistake while i was installing new intake i forgot to attath the meter back on and i turned on the car, it sort of faltered but stayed on, then noticed i for got to plug it in so i did. When i turned the car on again it sounded normal but the engine light turned on. I fixed the intake system the light is still on. Shouldnt the engine light turn off when the problem is fixed??? Is their any way for me to reset the system so the light turns off??

With a '95 most of them have OBD-I and OBD-II. The OBD-I boxes are the boxes marked A & B under the hood above the windshield washer fluid bottle.

Dump and clear the engine codes. Instructions are here:
