Did you ever solve the PCV trap issue? I have a 2001 S40 1.9T with positive pressure (using the glove test) and yet the dealer is telling me that everything is fine.
I had an idea to drill a hole in the oil fill cap and put a nipple in it. Then run a hose over to the air cleaner box with another nipple to attach it. Not a perfect solution, but it should prevent the oil seals from blowing out due to excess pressure. Also the little o-ring that seals the oil dipstick has shrunk and any pressure should escape through there too.
Basically I'm in finger crossing mode for the foreseeable future
