to all volvo owners!!who has more miles on the dash?

My 1998 V70xc turbo has 198,000miles. I recently bought it with 196kmi on it, and I had no reservations about buying it. I hated to let go of my trusty 1990 240 with 270,000 miles on it, but I couldnt pass up this wagon for $1250. I changed the oil before I started driving it and I am totally amazed that it has not used even 1 drop of oil after 2000miles. I did have to do the PCV system replacement, which did stop the oil dipstick from puffing like a steam engine and made it suck a nice vacuum, and some of the other annoying things about these generation Volvos, like the air pump, abs module, and now some a/c woes, and the infamous door stay snap, but all in all I think the 850/70 series are still Volvo's. I am very uncertain about the future though, I am in no hurry to get any newer Volvo as every one I know who has one has many many problems since Volvo's have been "fordified".

My 96 850 wagon (MT) has a mere 212K miles and is purring along. (knock on wood) Bought it last month to replace a 93 Ford Probe with 198K miles that is ready for some serious garage time.

Bought it last month and put on 1000 miles on it already. Right now: 220,890 miles total.

Currently at 178,000 miles and running great.

Although I would suspect that the actual miles might be less... due to the differences in the electro mechanical odometer and the cluster ECU one. I've noticed this because of differences in trip computer reading of miles and the odometer.
