Blower not working

The blower sometimes would kick in but usually doesn't, with the ECC lights flashing a few times. I pulled the blower motor and lubricated it, watched it spin a bit before reinstalling it. But then nothing. Pulled pulled it back out and checked voltage at its terminals. Nothing. I also pulled the resistor and checked its voltage at each terminal lead for both the four small wires and the two large ones. Nothing. Fuses are good.

Perhaps I do not have a good ground for the meter. What is a good grounding location in the passenger compartment? I tried the bolt that holds the seats in place.

If there is no voltage coming to the resistor, where would I look to find the fault?

What other things might I check. Chilton's doesn't include these circuits in the pertinent manual.

If you get no voltage at the connector with the large wires then the fuse is bad. There are two fuses for the climate unit, check both of them. If you ground the blue wire the blower should come on at full speed, even with the key off. The bolt at the seat should be a suitable ground.
