Post by Covert »

Really struggling to get this timing belt on the car , can anyone confirm how many teeth the 850 2.5 10v belt is meant to have
I swear the old belt had 148, this nee belt is 144.
Thanks in advance Mark.

The tooth count is 144 for your 10 valve motor cam belt.
Always first off the line, while all the cool people are still staring at their phones.

Did you get it on the crank sprocket on the bottom or is it stuck on the stud under there?

The new belts are a pain to put on because they have not been broken in yet, like rpsi mentioned look for the stud, make sure the teeth are in the grooves and a little bit of muscle got mine on.
