Greetings,

This is my first post to the forum as a new member. I just purchased a nice, low mileage 2000 V70XC and the car is fitted with a factory rear spoiler that I would like to remove and refurbish, and then reinstall. I would like to get some information on what to expect when removing, and any advice on dealing with potential issues. I understand that this piece is secured both with brackets/screws and double sided tape. The spoiler on my vehicle has an added "bonus" in that at some point it was masked around and painted while still attached. I will also be dealing with some paint in places it shouldn't be such as on the lift gate widow glass, window trim/seal, and body paint.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Does it have the 3rd brake light in it?

Thanks for the video link, I've been pouring through many of your others. Not sure how I missed this one. As for the light, no, mine is the type without the light.
