What Brand of oil does everyone use on their P80 Volvo.

Total Quartz 7000 10w-40 semi-synth,all year round in both of my cars.
Replacement interval from 8-10k km or 1 year along with Mann,Knecht(Mahle)or Bosch oil filter and copper washer (or crush washer)for oil sump plug.

Any synthetic 10w min. I change oil when it looses its clarity. I keep it filled not overfilled.

Pennzoil Platinum Euro Full Synthetic 5w40 on my daughter's 2000 V70 XC in the winter (car is in northern MN and sees negative temps).

Mobil 1 10w30 High Mileage in my '96 850 Turbo. Also in the '00 V70 XC in the summer.

The main things I look for in a motor oil for my vehicles: Synthetic, ACEA A3 spec (high temp/high shear ratings greater than 3.5), and approved viscosity for the engine and expected temperature range. Rotella T6 5w40 is something I've used in the past also, but in the case of the daughter's V70XC, I wanted to give Pennzoil Platinum Euro a try.

My 1996 850GLT sedan I used "Mobil 1" 5W30 with Bosch/K&N oil filter and I got 300K out of her before we sold her. Our 2000 V70XC/SE I've been using "Valvoline-Maxlife" 5W30 and "Cam2 Super Pro Max" Synthetic blend 5W30/10W40 during the summer. I'm going to switch over to "Liqui Moly Leichtlauf High Tech" 5W40 w/Mann or Mayle oil filter. On our 2004 XC70 we've been using "Liqui Moly Leichtlauf High Tech" 5W40 w/Mann or Mayle oil filters. Were really impressed with LM products in general and there oil is top notch. If I couldn't get the LM I'd use Mobil 1 or Castrtol Syntec(I use this in my '99 Prelude), the Castrol Syntec is really good oil and it's available in European spec.

I'm going to get some of that while it's on sale this time around. I only got a top-off quart last time. Being that it's Valvoline oil, I'm fine with using it in my car. And for $2.99/quart, I can't complain.

What ever Dino oil is on sale at the ol' Canada Tire. Yes I know, that is sacrilegious for a ~20yr old car that has no value

So either Castrol GTX, Penzoil Yellow or Quaker State Green. All good oils, my fav are either Castrol or Penzoil. I always use Mahle filter. Car runs perfectly; honestly these engines are Skookum, unless you tow, or race your car, you should be fine.
