Two new 2004 C70 headlamp assemblies for less than $300

Post by EstVolvo »

Just came across some new headlights for a 2004 C70.
I have never seen such a low price for these lights.
Has anybody bought and installed these?
I would like to see a before and after picture taken in total darkness, from at least 30ft with the lights pointing against a wall or some other surface.

Some of those have plastic lenses instead of glass ones that come from factory assemblies. Everyone says they are not good quality but I'd say they might be better than the old worn out S/V70s and when you open one up, there are not overly complicated to copy so I don't see why not. I've got OEM units on mine so I can't comment on their quality (Depo), just speculate.

Hello, I purchased both for my 99 V70, exact fi. Yes, they are plastic, no adjustment bubble, but the lights are 100% better than OEM. Installed them over a year ago, excellent. I had to always use my fog lights before installing them to see at night. Highly recommended!

So they have plastic lens in spite of listing saying that they have glass lens?

I have contacted Amazon to double check if the lens is plastic or glass.
So far it isn't easy, the customer service representative had access to the same information that is already listed on their webpage.
In the Customer Questions & Answers area, people are saying that they come with a glass lens.
Those headlights are getting good customer reviews.

They sell this version, then a much cheaper version. The cheaper one probably has the plastic lens.

I'm SUPER inactive on here, so I apologize in advance for the very late reply,
but I can put this one to rest. I've had these lights on my car for 4 years, they still look brand new. I've had to replace the low beam connectors, and that's it. They're made of glass, as a shipping company emailed me a picture of one they dropped and shattered. Worth every penny.

Those look nice CMBB! I have one OEM Hella glass lens and one generic glass lens. Both light housings are original and thus 19yrs old. Nice, shiny reflectors would probably brighten up the night-time view considerably.
