Where does this oil line go? (Found!)

Post by adkvolvonoob »

Hi!

Putting my 1999 V70 Turbo AWD back together after a valve job, and I can't figure out where this wants to live! It's just around the back corner from the CPS, above the turbo (inlet seen in pic)

Thanks!

Coolant banjo fitting onto the turbo case. You will need the nut

Looks like the coolant pipe that connects on the side of the head.

You are right Robert, that's head side. I don't think I have that bracket on mine but it's been a while since I've been back there

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking (exhaust-side of head), but I can't figure out where. It looks like it wants to lay in a certain area, and that bracket throws me farther off into the woods.

I have 3 lines already connected, and I don't recall seeing a place for a 4th.

I believe it bends under the bracket/Cam sensor. I don't have one nearby or I'd do a pic. :(

There might be a picture in my CBV thread

The turbo banjo connector takes coolant off the back of the engine, so look back there.

Found it! Thanks everyone!

It is indeed below and left of the CPS. The hose is designed to double-back more than it is to bend around the corner.
