Best place to pass a wire through the firewall 98 non turbo

Post by SonicAdventure »

I'm trying to run an accessory wire directly to positive battery terminal. It will have an online fuse and proper grounding. Where is the best place to pass this through the firewall? I thought about up through the fresh air filter and along the firewall to the battery or maybe where the steering column pokes through? Thanks

If it's less than 30 amps, there's no need.
You can pick it up at the factory accessory
connector under the dash. Look for an unused
yellow connector attached to the side of the
steering column bracket.

If you do have a larger load, like a big amp,
look for the existing grommet low on the
driver's side with several unused nipples.

Volvo saw you coming and has your back!

Shouldn't be - It's a PDF uploaded to the MVS server.
Looks like Matt's been upgrading, though. Try Again! ;)

I posted a bad link and wanted to delete the post but couldn't. So I erased the post and put "bad link". YouTube has made some kind of change and it is not giving me links like it has over the past 4 years.
