It was a beautiful morning. I decided to adjust the valves on my 1895 300sd. All was going well, until i had to move the 1998 v70xc. I could not close the driver door? Door stop (jamb) broke. Luckly I was home and Had a 10mm and 40 torxx. The door was stuck wide open. With the above, I was able to close the door. I then had to remove the door skin to completely remove the door stop.
I just glad this did not happen on the road.
I just removed the steering lock as the preventive measure.

Hopefully, you wouldn't go driving in the first place, if your door was stuck wide open after you got in the car... 
Good job though - my passenger side door is now starting the tell tale crunching, so I'll be replacing mine soon as well.
