Speedometer Issues and Possible Remedies

I recently purchased a 1997 Volvo 850 N/A, with TRACS and a Yazaki cluster. I have been having trouble with the speedometer reading 0 once I hit approx. 50 mph. I purchased and installed a re-manufactured ABS module from Midwest ABS, thinking this would be the fix. However, the problem persist. I have removed the cluster and inspected the speedometer capacitor for signs of rupture/leakage, but everything looks fine. I also swapped the ABS module from a 1996 850 w/o TRACS and a VDO cluster (this car never gave me issues with speedometer readings).

So in short, I'm a bit lost. Connections seem good, ignition seems good, 3 x ABS modules later and the problem remains. I am thinking of swapping my 1996 w/o TRACS VDO cluster and ECUs to the 1997 with the Yazaki w/ TRACS; has anyone tried this? Also, anyone know of anything else I should check. Thanks in advance.

One thing I hate is a forum topic without a solution. So, I'll give you mine, in the hope that this could help someone else in the future.

I swapped my 1996 VDO cluster w/o TRACS and my 1996 EFI ECU into my 1997 850 w/ TRACS, and bingo...speedo issue resolved. No lights on the dash either; even with my TRACS IN-OP. So in short my issue was in the Yazaki gauge cluster. I will replace the capacitor in question and try it again. But for now anyone wondering about a 1996 to 1997 VDO to Yazaki swap, as long as the EFI ECU is swapped you are good-to-go. Thanks to Midwest ABS for the re-manufactured module. The original ABS module was bad, but was also masking the speedo gauge capacitor issue. Still super quick shipping and overall ease with ordering there re-manufactured unit. And running a TRACS ABS module won't give you issues if your cluster and EFI ECU aren't TRACS equipped.
