1999 S80 T6 Unknown Coolant Port
1999 S80 T6 Unknown Coolant Port
Please help identify where this coolant pipe attaches to. I have searched this site for days and still have no clue. The port is just above where the lower radiator hose attaches. It isn't the heater hose port or the turbo cooler hose. I have both of those already hooked up, I am lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have looked at the photos and cannot provide any help. Are you sure it is a coolant hose? What does it feed into?
What repairs did you do - this will give an idea as to what has to be removed to accomplish the task. With this I could pull up the VIDA instructions and look for a possible reference. Some set of instructions will state "disconnect ..."

Is the fitting attached with a banjo bolt? If so it appears to be part of the PCV crankcase system.
The heater core has two ports - an in and an out - two different hoses. Both accounted for?
I am just looking at exploded diagrams for your year and model for clues.

Thank you for your responses. What I have done is remove the entire engine and transmission. I had to rebuild the transmission. While waiting for tranny parts. I replaced the main and camshaft seals, copper washers on the banjo fittings, and pcv box. I made sure to do one part at a time not to lose parts.
The water port is part of the metal coolant line on the back of the engine that the lower radiator hose attaches to. This particular port is about 2 inches behind the lower radiator hose end and as you can see in the picture it bends at a 90 degree angle towards the air-box. There is another port behind it that attaches to a hose that attaches to a banjo bolt that is bolted to the turbo. There is also a heater hose in the area that is attached to the engine block.

Does this diagram help?
http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/showA ... odel=12010
Is it the line that goes to the turbo?
Which ever it is it appears to go to a short hose then to some longer hard pipe.
