Good luck. I just pulled my ECU (which I think you are referring to as your body control unit) and sent it to ARD in Oregon along with a donor ECU. I'll post back to let you know how it goes.

I've been looking into the ignition switch.
Since my issue goes away if I re-seat the key after a stall.
Can anyone tell me if this is a high wear item on my model car, and which part I should look at ordering?
I did just get a brand new key cut and programmed, and I've already Dont the antenna ring. I'd like to not have another key coded if possible.
Thank you in advance to whoever answers this.
I've been driving around for some time now just waiting for this car to quit...

You need the electrical part of the ignition switch.

It has nothing to do with the key or the antenna ring.

Order by VIN number as the parts transitioned during 99-00 model year or remove the old one and pull the part number

If you have a heavy key chain or a lot of keys then buy a separate key chain and put a single key to the car only and use that in the ignition carrying the bunch of keys separate. This will save your ignition from developing this problem. You likely will have to replace the switch at this point, but the single key won't have weight wobbling back and forth with acceleration and breaking moving the ignition switch slightly causing it to loose contact. I always keep my keys separate from my car key to avoid causing unnecessary wear to the ignition. June
