Last year i drove cross country the car started to stall and would barely go uphill, to keep it running i had to hit brakes and gas together to keep it idling, until i unplugged the maf and it ran smooth just not alot of power, ive bn driving with no power all summer with no problems except for low speeds mainly uphill and upin acceleration.
Im ready to tryn fix this. It has a new maf. To no avail. And enginghts have came on and back off. I have an oil leak and a clicking uv joint. But whats making my car go so slow? Seems like a form of limp mode o it runs the same with maf unplugged as with it plugged so. Any ideas. I live up a mtn so this has bn frustrating but the car has never failed even when slow

Disconnect negative battery cable for 15 min in order to reset fuel trims.

Driving a car with a MAF disconnected will usually cause it to run very rich. Besides using a lot of gas, it can cause damage to the Cat. If the cat is bad, it could cause other issues. Is the CEL on? What codes are in the system now?
