volvo 940 heated seats not working

Post by svetlomir »

Hi there.
I have a problem with my heated seats of my volvo 940.I chek the fuse and it is not it.May be a bad wire?
Also i have a problem with the factory radio. It makes noises when you dial the volume up or down and this have a reflection on the "balance" for FRONT/REAR and LEFT/RIGHT speakers. It probably need some lubrication. If someone can recomend one that would be great.
Thank you. :D

If neither seat is heating then it's probably the power wire coming to the switches. Do the switches light ? I would think not if both seat heaters are out. If the lights are coming on for either one then that seat should be heating, if not then the connection underneath the seat is probably pulled loose and just needs to be plugged back in. Those are nothing more complicated than electric blanket or heating pad grids that run on DC power.

Try blowing out your radio's volume control with compressed air or contact cleaner (wear safety glasses when you do it).

you can get radio shacks tv tuner cleaner and lubricant but you will have to pull the radio to be able to spray it in the pots (potentiometers)
