1999 V70T5M56 ME7 batch fire or sequential fire of fuel injection

I had highway time on a trip , so hooked up the AUTEL in data mode and found its

(E) none of the above

It looks like ME7 fires the injectors in two banks, as evidenced by this

Other trivia

On over run, the throttle plate closes to 20% and the fuel injector time drops to about 2 msec, ignition timing is retarded , probably to protect from lean running

I tried To measure max boost but there were too many cops

I can drive up to 65 mph with no or minimal boost, then it starts boosting on slight hills

Max turbo control duty circle seems to be about 60%

The powertrain management electrical diagram shows that each fuel injector on ME7 has its own ground (they have a common 12V)- I wonder if/why the still fire in only two banks?

Someone with VIDA can tell if that system reports 5 separate injector durations or only 2

You could always pull them all out, place them in glass jars and video tape it - it gives you a good excuse to replace the o-rings

ME7 fuel injectors have common 12V+ and each fuel injector is individually fired by grounding at the ECU

Well that is how we learn on these cars on stuff like that. Who knew other than those who were trained to work on a specific brand or designed them. So interesting info to learn. Thanks!

I can see that on the 99- cars with coil packs but what happens on -98's?
