Can you help me ID this part? 1994 850 turbo

i was wondering what that part was as well, the hose runs from the Intake manifold to the mystery object and on down to wherever it goes.

i have my intake manifold off so i can easily get to it, i will see if i can find any part numbers on it when i go to lunch tonight. maybe i will make a discovery.

ok the number on the piece is 1 3(or 5)28 900 632 but i may be wrong mine is pretty torn up, The hose on the other end goes to a cylindrical box under the bumper in the corner of the drivers side and continues on to an unknown location through another tube, i think it may be either a deboost or a check valve.the bit on the bottom end looks to just be insulation that is zip tied on, there is a connector on the bottom of the mystery device so replacing the hose sould be a simple job.

Unfortunately, I looked up every combinations of the numbers you posted (including renditions of the numbers you weren't sure of) and found nothing in VADIS.

i will make another peak at it, it dosent seem like a part number but it is all that i could find, it might be under the insulation.

I'm going to go ahead and just repair the damaged hose/pipe for now, but I'd sure like to know what the heck this thing is! The boot at the bottom of the mystery part is also torn on my car, and I have no idea if that will also cause a leak in the unit. But since I still have no idea what the part is for, and my car seems to be running OK (except for CEL being on, and coming on again after being reset) I guess there isn't much point in getting too upset.
But if anyone DOES know what the part is for, I'd sure like to know!javascript:emoticon(':D')

That appears to be the Auxillary Air Intake Valve
