That's a good idea, torx head bolts. Also, just discovered this...the 10mm socket from those cheapo toy-like socket kits are shorter by 3mm - 4mm, and it can even be reduced quite a bit with a belt sander of sorts. Can make your own custom "stubby" socket.

Here's a tiny 3mm socket I turned in a sherline lathe to make it fit a controller board in a Ford.
Next day at AutoZone I see they sell the special slim socket doh.

I started the job late afternoon on a Saturday and didn't finish until Sunday evening, but this was working very slow and many breaks.

If you get the crankcase breather pipe, (I recommend you do because the old one broke on me when I tried taking it off), my advice is to get a lower radiator hose as well. I had to cut the old one off to get to one of the banjo bolts near the firewall. The banjo fitting on the intake manifold is 17 mm IIRC and a swivel ratcheting wrench really helps. Get the crush washers if you get this line.

May not be a bad idea to at least buy the anaerobic sealant and the oil cooler seals if you end up needing to remove the pan to clear the lower passage.

I ended up buying many oeitiker clamps and the installation tool that honestly I didn't even need. The tool was too bulky to get into most areas. I think I was only able to use it on the flame trap elbows and that was because I put everything together with it off the engine. I ended up using worm gear and fuel injection hose clamps mostly.

I clamped my lines up off the car. The last one to do is the banjo which I did with the intake manifold loose. That one was toughest

I am part way in, and ready to start removing the manifold. My fuel line comes up between the two intake runners and makes a sort of U turn to accommodate a coupling, then it finally connects to the fuel rail. I see some vids that show the intake manifold being moved to one side, but can I do that with mine, considering the way the fuel line is run in my car?

You gently bend the 90 degree to a 45, keeping the radius large so you don't kink it. You have to release it from the fuel rail of course - usually with a tool or a split Bic pen.

how and where do I release it from the fuel rail?

And is there an O ring in the power steering pump Line fitting? I found shredded piece of something green wrapped around it when I unscrewed it from the pump. If so, what size is it and can I use a hardware store O ring?

Power steering o-ring is #969092. If the original was shredded, it was on too tight...do you have the lock bracket that attaches to the coupling that attaches the hard line to the power steering pump?

You can't just swing the manifold up and over to the side, unclimbed the fuel lines with a fuel line quick disconnect tool from Harbor Freight. You have to manipulate/rotate/tilt the manifold to get it out from the 90 degree bend.

Pull the fuel rail off..as in pulling the injectors out of the manifold. You should really take the time to replace the injector o-rings, filter baskets and clean injectors. Also, I'm quite sure your vacuum hoses could stand to be changed....5mm and the 10mm, maybe an 8mm, too. Just doesn't make sense to address and clean items as you go, well worth it.

Yeah, it was on too tight. Don't know if I can get to the dealership Sat. morning to get the O ring. Or even if the parts dept is open Sat. I may have to find it at an auto parts store, Lowe's, etc. Vac hoses are all good - PO replaced them. And I have to have the car running by Tuesday, so, withe the dealer closed I may have to do injectors later. Thanks though.
