The repair you already did to the fuel line looks fine to me. You used the correct type of clamps. The trick is to get the size of the barb connector just right. For extra insurance I would have probably used some sort of RTV rated for fuel under the assumption that I would never have any reason to take it apart. If the barb connector pushed on fairly tight before tightening the clamps it should be ok.

The repair you're going to do to the evap line should be fine with plastic vacuum type barb connectors and regular low pressure fuel line hose. You just need to make sure it's absolutely sealed up air tight.

I have all the lines fixed now. I clamped the evap lines and added a small amount off rtv to them as well.

My new issue is the interior fan is going on when the car is not running. I understand that this is supposed to come on but it did it today and killed a brand new battery. when I turn the fan speed to the left which is off the green ac light some times goes on and off and the fan is on. not sure what to do?

My wife's KIA stopped running and had a P05xx code.
I went under the hood to pull the coil on plug and found the harness eaten through.
My 2002 V70, 2.4t donor had a nest and debris but no damage.
I power washed the debris from my car and rewired her KIA.
Then I wrapped the wires in foil duct tape and some other wrap.
We experimented with putting mouse bait, traps and things in her engine bay.
They loved the bait, didn't eat any more wires but was expensive feeding them poison baits.
I got tired of feeding them with poison bait.
Now they were eating my Golden Delicious apples from the tree.
I wired the largest rat traps I could get to the tree.
The next day the stole the wired traps from the tree.
I tried to find the trap for weeks, no joy.
It took a while to figure out what to do.
Now I was pissed off, so I planned an attack on the entire rodent species.
I bought a bunch of new traps, set with mouse bait and linked them by heavy wire around the tree trunk.
The next day I had my revenge, a nice fat rat with a broken neck.
It must have been killed instantly because it was captured mid munch.
When I disposed the body and reset the trap I didn't have an immediate result.
After a couple of days I had a double death with a pair of big rats hanging from the traps.
I'm no longer seeing any of my wonderful Golden Delicious apples half chued on the ground.

In your first picture showing the fuel line's damage, there is a large bolt bent towards the front of the car, the two lines broken, and some missing rust. Mice are strong, but ...

My guess is that you are not looking for a mouse, but the car hit something underneath while backing up. It seems odd that just those areas were involved, but I can't think of a way that bolt would bend forwards like that otherwise.

Take a look and see if there is other damage there. I think this is holding the under-body stiffener. The nearby bolt also looks a little bent, too.

You might be right. Either way that is fixed. My next issue is the passenger window and lock intermittently not working. Also intermittent dead battery. the battery is new and alternator charges over 14 volts while running.

If the light on the fan control is staying on that tells me that the climate control module is also receiving power. I would first try replacing the relay on the CEM. Being a 2001 these relays plug into the side of the CEM and are easily replaceable. The one you're looking at is labeled 'exended x-feed relay' or 'CMI22'.

If that doesn't work then you may have an issue with the ignition switch.

Regarding the passenger door module, before replacing it try inspecting the ground wire for it. It runs back into the cabin and bolts to the body under the carpet between the seat and the door opening, about midway between the front/back of the seat. You have to pull off the lower plastic door sill trim and pull the carpet back to get to it.

The passenger door computer is behind the door trim. It is called a PDM in Vida. Under the switch for window is a large black plastic casing which contains a programmable board.

These are programmable and if they must be replaced it's best to get one from the same model year. If the software doesn't match, like most modules on Volvos the switch simply won't work.

ok I got the door panel off and got the module out. I will go on a junk yard hunt for one or ebay if the yard doesn't have it.

Next on my list is fixing the trunk latch that does not lock. I have no power to the connector. Checked the fuses in back and 3 were blown. The sixth one down on the left(or rear most row) blows right away. I do not have the manual. Does anyone have a diagram?

ok I figured out why the rear trunk lock and wiper did not work and multiple fuses were blown. All of the wiring on the driver side coming into the rear of the car from the hatch was broken from years of opening and closing it. everything works properly now.

I got a used passenger side window switch off ebay and it is constantly locking or click atleast. Not sure if it needs programming or it is just bad. Has anyone replaced one of these switches with the door module with another used one before?
