Fog Light Not Working Topic is solved

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Fog Light Not Working

Post by Rucho26 »

So I just recently discovered my rear passenger side fog light is not working (I'm pretty sure it was tho). I tried changing the bulb but it still doesn't work. When I press the button to have the Lights activated on the dashboard, only the left one on the rear side works.

Anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this?

Thank you.

You don't need to fix anything. There is only one rear fog light. Two rear fog lights would get confused for break lights.

Thanks for the reply Rick. I'm 99% sure I saw them both work though.

I think it has been mentioned before that having more than one is illegal.

The rear fog light sees greater use in Europe. In northern europe during the winter nights the highways are frequently socked in with heavy fog. As one overtakes a vehicle in the fog, the single red light is the first sign that there is a vehicle ahead. Without it the vehicle is otherwise invisible as the tail lights don't penetrate the fog.

If you import a vehicle to Europe, if you don't have one you will need to install a rear fog light to pass inspection.
Les is more.
