Is there a light in the ashtray?

@ Viper69...you need to remove front ashtray mechanism in order to replace the bulb.
It's held with 2 torx bolts on each side visible when you open the ashtray.

The rear ashtray shares the light with the console compartment. There’s no separate light for that - at least none of my wagons nor the S70 had a separate one.

Mine have....and have it's own holder and socket...just replaced it 2 months ago along with automatic transmission gear selector light.

Exactly like that...the bulb and socket holder are just above that white plastic screen from the inside.
Similiar holder like on the front ashtray light.

Right... I think we're talking past eachother.

The front ashtray has a light.
The rear ashtray has a light, and that light shares the bulb with the inside of the console. Nothing to do with the front ashtray.

I don't get it...Shares with what in the center console?
The light bulb for the rear ashtray lightens only the rear ashtray.
Switches in the center console have their own bulbs and lightening.

28 is the bulb for the rear ashtray. 25 is the white plastic "lens" (Volvo's word...) you see in the previous post.

12 is the "box" that makes up the inside of the center console armrest. If you look at 12a, you'll see another "lens" where light from 28 also pass through to illuminate the inside of 12.

Light from 28 is "shared" between the rear ashtray (22-26 ex. 25) and 12. This has nothing to do with switches - no one said anything about switches.

Btw... 35 is kind of interesting. I've never seen that option.

You guys were talking about inside armrest light.

Why didn't you said so at 1st place?

Never seen 35 too but i would like to have leather 41.

I'm curious why they removed armrest box lightning in V70. And that box itself is much smaller and less useful.
