Sc-901 BlueTooth Hack

Post by EmersonS70t5m »

As much as i know there is some posts on this already, i wanted to share how I added an aux and bluetooth to my car, for free in my case. All i needed was a pair of wireless headphones, soldering iron, hot glue gun, some wire, and a lot of poking around on the internet and a volt meter. Now in my case, i had a pair of wireless headphones laying around(they were a cheap pair my younger brother used till they broke) and just used the board out of it. Went Left to left and right to right, to the tape deck. Now, people that have tryed this on the SC 901 will know that the tape deck is not labled, but thankfully i found where to solder to. It is pretty simple. I will post again later with pictures when i get home from school.

Program/music volume may be independent of the tones/beeps or synthesized prompts used during the pairing process. It could just be muted/volume down.

It doesnt make any noise when pairing either. It should though. The tape reader sometimes just kicks the tape back out sometimes. But i think it is because it is trying to read the tape but it isnt so it wont play.

The tape transport doesn’t care what‘s on the cassette.
It just wants to see tape moving and reverses direction
to “flip it over” when it senses the tape stop at the end
of the supply reel. It only looks at program content on
the tape in NXT/RPT fast wind modes. And then, it’s
looking for 5 second gaps of silence. It was the ‘90’s...

Seems a little odd that it kicks the tape out...

Take the tape out of the cassette and just put in the blank plastic. Or just put ant Taylor Swift cassette in, which come blank space, baby.

I did this mod on my T5 and it works great

Yea i got it working almost, the left channel wasnt soldered all the way on the radio. But then something went wrong on the bluetooth controller and now it wont really work anymore. Not sure why.
