2001 Volvo with 4" lift?
2001 Volvo with 4" lift?
A while ago, some of you all were talking about how cool it would be to have a lifted xc70. This may not be the place for this. I hope Matthew or the moderators don't get mad at me. Anyway.. Cincinnati Craigslist 2001 xc70... lifted. Bull bar , luggage rack etc. They're asking for 5000$ .. I don't know about that. They say it has a new transmission from 8 months ago. I'm not selling this wagon, nor do I know these people. Buyer beware. MDK rolling on....PS for some strange reason it's under " auto wheels and tires " section

When it reaches $1000, the negotiation can begin...

No joking, $1000 and negotiation can begin.
1. There not much of a market for lifted XC70s.
Buyer's market.
2. Customized never sell for what you have in it.
If somebody going to fork out that much cash, they expect to get their idea of WOW!
3. Lifts done by somebody else are a gamble, too many don't do the rest of the suspension.
Too many butchered jobs.
The seller is looking for a fool waiting to be parted from his money or somebody to bail him out of his mess like his parents did.

it wouldn't be possible to get the angles on the rack and axes right even if you got the camber right. the axels need to be babied when on an angle and can take full torque only at about 0-15 degrees. It would be like flooring it with the wheel hard over.
I think RHP is right. "A fool and his money" . I was thinking that too tardcart... it's got to be hard on all the axles. There are a lot of car "snakes in the grass" here in the Ohio valley waiting to bite you. I'm very careful and even I get tricked sometimes. Perhaps I shouldn't have posted it. Eh. MDK
