Re:Thank you to Sleddriver from newbie jjss70. I am your new and biggest fan. You are resilient and tenacious and I, a bit jealous of your vast knowledge and all around innovativeness on your 98 V70/T5. I also hope your friends and family have forgiven you for all the time, money, and hard work that you've spent. You are an inspiration and I applaud you. Now I hope I didn't misspell anything. I am literally, your biggest fan at 6 foot, eleven inches tall and 240 pounds skinny and hey, by the way that was a superb write-up and thanks again. From newbie jjss70 or just John from Gresham, Oregon with a "Like and a big Thumbs Up and I Wish You Well."

It’s top shelf , high quality parts on Volvos , designed to last 300,000 miles
When you get the early failure of a part at 150k miles, many owners won’t “ put $2000 repair into $1500 car” so they dump.
The devil tempts up with URO hoses and like to “ repair” but unless you are flipping or want 3 more months out of it, that s afalse economy.

Hah just last week I happened to have the folder by my desk of the maintenance history of my second volvo. I was just sitting there watching shows on hulu when I noticed it so I opened it up. Everything in that book that was replaced by the second owner from 2007-2014 I have since replaced because they were aftermarket parts. Its nice to see a fat maintenance book but it doesnt matter if they werent done right or used the wrong parts lol. In the past few years I've spent around 4K on parts but now its got all OEM or better parts at this point minus the axles and its turning into a really nice car. If anyone else had gotten it at some point when the water pump, radiator, fuel pump, wheel bearing, ps pump etc broke it would have gone to the junk yard. I just figure by the end of it all and everythings brand new there wont be anything left to break for another 20 years.abscate wrote: ↑28 May 2019, 13:17 It’s top shelf , high quality parts on Volvos , designed to last 300,000 miles
