1995 850 I have to manually change my gears in my automatic transmission

I can't start my 95 850 turbo and move the car off in drive. I have to manually put it in L then move to 3rd and then drive. I do the reverse when slowing down. If I don't do the about the car would vibrate and cut off. Any ideas what's wrong?

Pull the codes from diagnostic port A-1 and post them back. It may not tell us everything but it is a good place to start,

Thanks for the response. However, All the wires from my obd1came lose and they are just hanging. I have no idea where goes where

My TCU was bad. Problem solved
