I responded back recently to customer rep at IPD regarding these LED license plate bulbs and I asked him if the bulbs would cause any issues with my older P2. He said there should be no problem. Do you guys agree that by installing LED bulbs in several of the rear lighting areas, there will be no problems?

Plate lights work perfect with simple LED - but you'll need bright ones. I actually much recommend this easy mod because the tiny glass bulbs always go bad - end of the video www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBlKNkmK2xg
Any other exterior light will cause a DIM message when using simple LED - if this won't bother you can still use but you need really bright ones, as most inexpensive ones are way too dim. (safety concern at night). In order not to get that dash bulb message, we need to install LED with resistor that will drain the correct voltage - and also will heat up like a normal glass bulb
I did install an extra LED strip for the upper brakes light - only regret is not using a larger strip www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_3Wrx2JvBE

Don't bother with bulbs. There are led units with strips designed to fit these cars specifically available. Neater, more even illumination and no issues with the lenses getting filled with algae as on the original ones. For the license plate. other bulbs will give warnings.
